I used to never be a “morning person”.
The truth is, I would wake up late and in chaos, just like most of the world. I hated hearing the sound of my alarm clock, I didn’t like kids jumping on my head at 7:30 am, I didn’t like the dogs scratching the paint off my doors. I simply wasn’t the happiest person I could be …
Because my mornings were chaotic 🤪
On top of that, I’d also complain that I just didn’t have enough time in the day to get all of my work done, which then resulted in me burning the midnight oil, and being exhausted all the time, while not spending any time with my family.
What I’m going to be sharing with you here are my 7 keys to productivity. Now some of you may be asking, “How does this align with my fitness goals … I thought this guy was a fitness coach?”
Well, I am a fitness coach and this very much aligns with your fitness goals 😎 … hear me out on this …

The reason why most people live their life in chaos, anxiety, and high cortisol, is because they lack the personal discipline required to be able to “own their morning”. I can tell you that in the last 3 years of waking up early, and owning the morning, everything in my life is better!
✅ My marriage and relationship with God is better
✅ I have more time with my kids, creating more memories
✅ I have more peace and time for myself, much less stressed and anxious
✅ I’m in better shape now than ever before … I’ve lost 20 lbs of fat I didn’t need
✅ Business has tripled in those 3 years and will keep growing
✅ I’ve read about 100 books etc.
I realized that everything starts with me, and this has been a massive personal accountability shift 🙌🏻

Today I want to help set you up for success, so that you too can achieve your goals with an ‘example morning routine’ that I’m going to share with you right now …
Here is the #1 key … It Starts At Night 🌚
In the evening, after everything is done and about 30 minutes before bed, sit down and write out your top 3-5 things you need to get done the next morning, between the hours of 6-9 am. Once you have written those down, take a hot shower or bath and get ready for bed. Be in bed at a reasonable time, like 10am, so you can ensure you get at least 7 hours of sleep. End your by day either reading a book or doing something that calms you down … not watching tv or scrolling on your phone.
Wake Up Early ☀️
I recommend waking up at least 30-60 minutes earlier than you currently do, in order to establish a morning routine. And one more thing … DO NOT hit the snooze button! It’s 5.4.3.2.1 and get out of bed 🛏️
Hydrate
Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning to rehydrate your body and improve digestion. You can also jump start your day with a protein shake during this time 🥤
Move Your Body
Incorporate some form of movement into your morning routine, whether it’s a workout or a quick walk outside with your dog 🚶🏽♂️
Journal
Spend a few minutes each morning reflecting on your goals, and writing down any thoughts or ideas that come to mind. This can also be a great time to add in that cup of coffee ☕️

Practice Gratitude
Take a moment to focus on the things in your life that you are grateful for, and that you appreciate. Personall, I like to send out a few gratitude text messages to people I’m grateful for.
Plan Your Day
Spend a few minutes each morning planning out your schedule for the day ahead, including any important tasks or appointments.
BONUS … Engage In Personal Development
Use your morning routine as a time to engage in your personal development, whether it’s reading a book or listening to a personal development podcast.
By incorporating these habits into your morning routine, you can start your day off on the right foot and set yourself up for success. Whatever you plan, the quest is to be as consistent as you can be when it comes to morning routines, and we recommend establishing a routine that works for you and sticking to it every day or most days of the week. Remember you are either stacking win’s or your stacking loses. The more wins you have in the week the more productive you will feel 💪🏻

A morning routine can help you increase productivity, reduce stress, improve overall well-being and so much more! By taking control of your morning and establishing a routine that sets you up for success, you can make the most of your day and achieve any goals you have 😉
